Do a top-to-bottom inspection of every component, from checking the tire pressure to topping off or changing the oil. Make sure brakes, lights, and signals function as they should. Look for uneven wear or embedded objects in your tires as you inflate them to the correct psi. Refill the fluid in your brake reservoirs as necessary and add coolant to the engine. 

Performing these tasks now won’t guarantee that your trike won’t randomly break down, but addressing maintenance needs will significantly reduce the chances of that happening.
